For this weeks blog post I am sharing storyboards. They show a little of where my inspiration comes from and how it translates to a design. Both storyboards differ greatly because I get my creative juices flowing from several places.
How do you like the images I chose? Any ideas particularly speak to you? Any suggestions or comments are welcome!

I was really inspired by the ivory and clean story board. I especially love the image of the crisp white shirt with a gold necklace running inside the color. The color palette is feminine and delicate and i would love to see a collection come from it.
I like that you used fashion illustrations in both of your storyboards, I think it adds to your themes. I would prefer different fonts for your titles, but I like that you utilized negative space - it definitely contributes to your themes.
I love the delicacy presented in the second storyboard. Lace and pastels are always romantic, and the small collared look is youthful and flirty. I can definitely get inspiration from these looks.
This might sound strange but I believe the Ivory and Clean board more. The other one feels forced for some reason. Almost as if you tried to force the idea. I'm not sure why it feels that way.
Nice storyboards. They are very Rosemary. I like the second one a lot, but I feel like you could have broadened your images on both boards. Don't be shy with the inspiration! But I think they are still really great. Very pretty!
Ivory and Clean is my favorite board, you did a great job at chosing your colors and inspirations. Clean lines with soft colors are great together and romantic.
Great story boards, Rosemary! I agree with many of the comments thus far, the Ivory is really fantastic! I think part of that might be the movement in the sketch itself. Looks like she's confidently walking dow the street. Love it!
I think you are the first one I've seen to actually used your own sketches so that is really great! It makes your storyboard even more professional and makes me really curious to see what else is in your line. Your first board is my favorite, I love the colors.
Love the ivory and clean storyboard. It feels modern, romantic and perfect for spring!

ReplyDeleteJamie, I know what you mean. Maybe its because the center image isn't as interesting as the other photos and there is no focal point.
