This is my studio, clever girl

Sewing requires a lot of tools. I would rather work on projects than organizing any day.

Here are some pieces of my recent project, a surrealist blue dress.  I also keep  my water  glass close by.

As for the fuel, nothing but the finest.....fresh Hummus with Matzos. When I make this Middle Eastern dish, I  never spare the garlic.

You can never go wrong with lots of veggies on your pizza. 

This past week I have spent large amounts of time working on a dress for my design class. I am creating a blue cocktail dress inspired by Yves Tanguy. As you can see my room has been consumed by this venture, and I've managed to do some cooking as well.

For this weeks blog post I am sharing storyboards. They show a little of where my inspiration comes from and how it translates to a design. Both storyboards differ greatly because I get my creative juices flowing from several places.

The Great Gatsby

This coming December, a great classic is being remade into a film. A novel by Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby has been adapted for several movies along the years. The stellar actors including Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire. 

Judging from the images surfacing right now, the costumes are going to be fantastic and one could only assume this is going to effect trends in fashion

A handsome white suit updated with a slimmer fit......

Cat eyes have staying power with fashion.
Carey's plum lipstick color is a
perfect update from red.

A bold lip.....

Tobey is wearing Gorgeous green thick sweater with an
open neck to show the white shirt and bow tie.

Similar idea translated into a more casual look.
